About
Adam's passion for performance and songwriting comes from an admiration of music that began at an early age. The youngest of four born to ministers David & Janet Harbison, Adam was quickly immersed in a vibrant and eclectic blend of music spanning genres and generations. Whether the gospel of the sanctuary, the energetic electronic and alternative of his oldest brother's mix CDs, or the classic rock of his parents' youth, he was always listening.
Inspired by the likes of Peter Frampton, Adam picked up the guitar at age eight and was slowly self-taught, developing incrementally and eventually performing in junior high talent shows. It was also during this time that Adam would pen his first songs, with simple power chords and even simpler lyrics.
At the dawn of his teenage years, Adam began serving in his church as a supporting member of the praise and worship team- a role he continues to serve in today. It is here that Adam developed a deeper understanding of music's innate ability to impact the soul and spirit. This discovery coincided with a growing interest in the more introspective work of artists such as Paul Simon and Jim Croce, stoking new flames of inspiration in both performance and songwriting.
